"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to GOD must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who dillegently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6

Faith seems simple, but often is not. Most of us know or are familiar with 2 Corinthians 5:7 which reads "For we walk by faith and not by sight". but what does that look like in the context of our everyday lives as a believer? This is something I have pondered frequently and taken to the Lord, throught the course of this journey. During my prayer time with the Lord, His Holy spirit has ministered to me deeply. As this year draws to a close, I believe whole heartedly, it represents the perfect time to press in deeper and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the things we do not know (Jerimiah 33:3), even about ourselves.

Over the many hours of time spent pondering and meditating on this very subject, The Lord has been gracious enough to provide deeper revelation, using a specific example from my own life to demonstrate, what it looks like to walk in faith, that I could instantly undertstand and my prayer is, that the Holy Spirit would also minister, drawing from your own lives, what it may look like for you. He brought to my memory, the first and only skydiving experience I had. What He spoke to my spirit was truly touching as I had never looked at that experience in that way.

Taking a leap of faith and following the Lords instructions is not easy. Following God, can be quite difficult. He may ask us to sacrifice many things, but He never asks these things of us, without having a plan to restore and replenish. Over the last few months, He asked me and I know many others to step out in blind faith. It took me a while to process His instruction, but I did what He asked. In September, He asked me to hand my resignation into the job I was working at the time, without first having another Job to go to. His reasoning. That was a door He needed to shut. At the time, He assured me, while I may experience a few weeks of things being quite tight, He would provide. And He did. He further went onto to minsiter to me that faith needs to be active. Just as He asked Abraham to follow His instruction, Abraham needed to pack up and leave, blindly following the Lord to the land He had told him. At times it can feel like you are free falling, thats when He reminded me of my skydiving experience, and how much faith, how much trust it took for me to step out of that plane and hurtle to earth from 14oooft.

Often times, thats the kind of faith The Lord requires of us, at least in my experience with The Lord, His instruction is always clear but rarely makes sense to our human sensibilities. But just like my skydiving experience, when I first shuffled my way over to the open door of the plane, in that second, every instinct, every human instint He has put in us to keep us safe, was flashing red telling me things like " Get back in the plane", " This is not going to end well" " Humans shouldn't throw themselves out of planes". Those instincts, have purpose, designed to keep us safe, however God's instruction often requires us to push past those instincts and take the Leap, trusting blindly in His leading. Lets focus on that thought for a minute. As I hung from the edge of that plane, strapped to a human ( who might I add, strongly resembled Borat) I trusted, I had faith that he with his many years experience and thousands of jumps, under his belt, was going to keep me alive despite my instincts screaming at me and fear trying its best to take me over, yelling at me to get back in the plane, I didnt. I kept moving forward, then the leap. It was a perfect day, sunny and not a cloud in the sky. As soon as we cleared the plane, I went from feeling like I was falling to feeling like I was flying. We free falled for a full minute before the parachute was deployed and despite hurtling to earth at 250 km an hour, the feeling of exhileration was overwhelming. As my feet finally made contact with the earth again, in that very moment, it suddenly occured to me that I had just experienced something I would never forget (and have never forgotten, I still remember every detail) that changed my perspective in ways I didnt anticipate, and turned out to not only be then, but remains one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I stepped out in faith, and ended up having my expectations exceeded in ways that would stay with me forever.

Following God is just like that. Recieving, then following an instruction from God, following in the footsteps of our forefathers in the church, can feel terryfying at first. It requires you to fight the very insticts He put in us to keep us safe, to push past that, but just like my skydiving experience left me mind blown, when you step out in fath and follow the Lords instructions, you end up having an incredible experience. He will always exceed your expectations ( Ephesians 3:20).

All He needs to bring that to pass in your life, is your obedience and your faith. Since Rosh Hashanna, The Lord has been giving me anchor scriptures for each month, coupled with regular fasting , time in His word and prayer, this has been a powerful, revalatory and stregthening tool. This month it has been Joel 2:25 and Proverbs 6:30-31. He has repeatedly highlighted and confirmed the word "Restore" and led me to prophesy that over myself and the body of Christ as a whole at the beginning of the month. I would like to share a small testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness. To circle back briefly, He had me resign from my previous position with an organisation that was a provider of occupational therapy and psychology services, without having a another job secured. He had told me the door needed to be shut, but to trust Him. Just as He said, He has provided for me, without fail, but also. just as He had me prohesy restore at the beginning of the month, I have recieved 3 blessing in less than 7 days. The first, He led me to a new job, perfectly structured although a little overwhelming, however allowing plenty of room to shift and pivot, as the Lord leads me and needs me to, but marks significant increase in my life. He confirmed it was mine, I interviewed then recieved a call. I was the successful candicate. The second blessing involved being gifted something out of the blue, that ensured that I had the provision, I would need. The third, involved the checks required in order for me to start in this new position. Being in health, here in Australia, various checks and registrations are required. I was already in posession of two registrations, but required a police check. At this time of year, that process can be lengthy, generally between 10-20 days but can take longer due to backlog. So I prayed a simple prayer, " Father, if it's your will for my life , at this current moment, knowing you are Jehova Jireh, I ask you to expedite this process, but regardless, let your will be done." Four hours later, I recieved an email, confirming the police check was complete and clear. My first day was yesterday. Glory be to GOD. All I had to do was step out in faith and follow His instruction. GLORY! God can do incredible things with our faith. Leave evrything in His hands, and watch His hands move in everything. He has your ram, all He needs, is for you to believe.

I believe. do you ?

God is in the details, make sure to look for Him there.  JESUS is LORD! God Bless. x
